Japan Tour For Women

Tokyo, Mt. Fuji, Takayama plus Kyoto and it’s world famous gardens

Japan is a country of contrasts, where centuries old traditions live side by side with cutting edge modern life. From bustling city streets to tranquil temple gardens, this journey offers a full and balanced experience of the country’s culture, history, and natural beauty.

Our tour is timed to coincide with cherry blossom season, when parks, riversides, and temple grounds are blanketed in delicate pink blossoms. We begin in Tokyo, a city full of energy and personality. While exploring the city, we experience modern highlights alongside traditional culture, visiting historic temples, vibrant shopping districts, and hidden back streets that reveal the city’s timeless character.

From Tokyo, we journey to the scenic Mount Fuji region and the nearby Hakone area, where we enjoy iconic views, explore beautiful gardens, and experience Japan’s natural beauty. We then continue to Takayama, a traditional mountain town with preserved streets, hillside shrines, and a relaxed small town atmosphere that offers a deeper connection to Japan’s past.

Kyoto, often considered the cultural heart of Japan, is next. Here, we explore some of the most famous gardens in the world, from serene Zen stone gardens to elegant strolling gardens framed by temples and pavilions. With free time built in, you can explore local workshops, wander historic neighborhoods like Gion, or simply soak in the peaceful atmosphere of the city.

Our journey also takes us to Nara, Japan’s first permanent capital, where we explore historic temples, shrines, and experience traditional arts such as paper making and tea ceremonies. In Hiroshima, we reflect on history at the Peace Memorial Park and Museum, and then visit nearby Miyajima Island to see the iconic floating torii gates and enjoy panoramic views from Mount Misen.

Throughout the tour, we stay in comfortable Western style hotels. Along the way, we experience the full spectrum of Japan, from traditional arts, gardens, and sake culture to the lively buzz of modern cities.

This special journey is hosted by Melissa Ross, owner of Womens Travel Network. Japan has long been on Melissa’s personal bucket list, and she is thrilled to finally share this destination with you.
