WTN’s Galapagos Tour For Women

Discover snorkeling, guided naturalist walks and so much more in one of the world’s greatest nature destinations!

Embark on an extraordinary journey with the Womens Travel Network as we invite you to join our exclusive Galapagos private yacht expedition. Nestled in the cradle of nature’s wonders, the Galapagos Islands beckon with their pristine landscapes and extraordinary biodiversity. Our curated adventure takes place aboard the luxurious Beluga yacht, a vessel exclusively chartered for our intimate group of 15 passionate travellers.

Our expedition is more than just a vacation; it’s a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the natural splendor of the Galapagos archipelago. Led by expert Galapagos naturalist guides, we’ll traverse the islands, indulging in island walks and insightful on-board talks that unravel the mysteries of these remarkable ecosystems. Picture yourself skirting past nesting boobies, spotting breaching whales on the horizon and snorkeling in vibrant underwater realms teeming with colourful fish.

The Galapagos Islands, though initially appearing desolate, harbour a rich tapestry of wonderfully strange and abundant wildlife. As Charles Darwin marvelled almost two centuries ago, these islands are home to highly adapted creatures found nowhere else on Earth. What sets the Galapagos experience apart is the unique behaviour of these creatures—they regard humans as passing interests, allowing us to observe them up close and even walk among them.

Before we set sail on our Galapagos yacht, our journey begins in the charming city of Quito. Delve into the rich history of this colonial gem and explore the vibrant Otavalo market, where local vendors, many from Ecuador’s indigenous groups, showcase an array of artisan crafts, including woolen goods, embroidery, and jewelry. This prelude to our adventure adds cultural depth to our exploration, making your Galapagos experience a holistic blend of nature, culture, and camaraderie.

Join us on our unforgettable Galapagos tour for women, where the beauty of the islands meets the enriching company of like-minded ladies, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Moderate

You will be getting in and out of Zodiacs (pangas) for wet and dry landings with assistance from the crew. On land we plan to walk at a leisurely pace, with frequent stops, on ground that is sometimes rough/rocky and hilly. Sturdy hiking shoes or boots strongly advised. A trekking pole is also useful for extra balance. If you have any concerns about being able to participate in this trip, please contact us for further information. A good level of fitness is important for this trip.

We are staying in a four-star hotel in Quito. Your 7 night cruise is on the M/Y Beluga. This steel hulled motor yacht is 33.5 metres long, accommodating 16 passengers and 8 crew. She travels at a speed of 12 knots, allowing us to get to 6 islands comfortably during our expedition cruise. She is well appointed with cozye air-conditioned cabins with private bath and ample lounge and observation deck space.

While on tour in Galapagos
We will be travelling by private motor yacht, zodiacs and private coaches

We expect temperatures to range from 22°C – 32°C with occasional short, heavy showers. The water temperature averages 24°C. Although the Galapagos Islands straddle the equator, the tropical heat is tempered by Pacific Ocean breezes and cold ocean currents. It is always a good idea to have a sweater handy in the evening.

You will require a passport for your trip to Ecuador. Please ensure it is valid for at least 6 months beyond your scheduled return home. At the time of writing, visas are not required for Canadian or US passport holders.

We recommend you see your travel doctor to prepare for this trip.

If you are travelling on your own and would like to share accommodation, we would be happy to try to match you with a suitable roommate. We do our best to ask each woman some questions to help our matchmaking process 🙂
If we are unable to find you the right match, the single cost applies.

We’d like to make sure that you know about our Worldwide Explorers Club. Travel twice with us and we’ll say a special thank you by taking 5% off all your subsequent trips. The bonus applies to our brochure trips only, is non-transferrable, and cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount or credit.  Note that some exceptions may apply as indicated on the tour’s Detailed Itinerary.
