by Nanette Snel

Argentina has a worldwide reputation for incredible steak, probably more so than any other nation on earth. Today we travelled our of Buenos Aires to visit the traditional Estancia Santa Susanna. We explored the ranch and learned how to prepare a traditional Argentine barbecue.

Great spot outside Buenos Airs, about 1.5 hr drive. We visited the museum.

La Boca area

by Nanette Snel

Today we enjoyed a free day to explore the city independently. There’s so much to enjoy here, trendy  boutiques, ritzy neighbourhoods, grand parks, fabulous cafes and wine bars.

La Boca area was great fun. Tango dancers everywhere.

Teatro Colon, named after Columbus.Inaugurated  in 1908 and one of the world’s top five opera theaters.

Pavarotti said it had one flaw: the acoustics are so good that every mistake can be heard. He never performed here again

Buenos Aires, we have arrived!

We arrived safely after a long flight with a quick stop in Santiago, Chili. Our traveller Anne did not fly out with us. She will be joining us tomorrow.  We are at a wonderful hotel in a great location.

This city is beautiful! Very green and lush with a rich European heritage. 85% are non Argentinian background.

We have a very nice guide, Alejandro and he took us for a walking tour around the hotel.

Lovely dinner in a private dining room and most of us ordered…… Steak! It was juicy and tasty!!,

today, we are have a tour of the Colon theatre, followed by a city tour. All is well in our world.
